Todd Black – ” It was Taken out of Context!!”

During a live interview, Todd Black, the spokes person for the defense ( the one that I wrote about before that leaked information on Eyewitness News) discussed the 1st degree murder charges against Casey Anthony

This case is about the loss of a girls life and a mothers fate he said “It’s very difficult,”"This is a serious case involving not just the loss of the life of this little girl, but the loss of whatever is going to happen with Casey Anthony. Unfortunately what they distributed was completely taken out of context. Todd Black never was stating that there is any belief whatsoever by Casey Anthony or The Baez Law Firm, that Ms. Anthony’s daughter, Caylee, might be deceased,” the statement read.

Really that not how I am reading this???

Mr. Black comments were in reference to another guests comment the guest was the person that made remarks about “death” ( Really well I wouldlike to see the transcripts) Her arraignment will be held in approximately three weeks — on or around Nov. 7 — though no specific date was given by Judge John Jordan. Anthony was indicted Tuesday afternoon on seven counts by a 19-member Florida grand jury.`

I also am getting conflicting dates as well – I read somewhere else that the araignment is Novemeber 17th…..

Can they Convict Without a Body ???????

The prosecutors have DNA and hair samples as well as testimony in regards to the “smell of death” in Casey Anthony’s car. However what they do not have is a “body.”

The State is building its case on forensic evidence and attempt to convince a jury of 12 of her peers, that Casey Anthony lacks both credibility and above all “had a motive.”

Cutting-edge forensic tests, which include but not limited to air testing which apparently tests for compounds that are released when a body decomposes. Prosecutors says that it is very possible to convict Casey Anthony without the presence of a body. Circumstantial evidence is sometimes more powerful than a body itself!

Prosecutors have not been specific about how the evidence led to charges against Anthony, but experts say it is possible to get a conviction without a body.The FBI and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory performed the tests in this explosive case.

Forensic evidence is very popular as well as being credible with jurors- especially with the outpouring of many TV shows including CSI and the like.

In the air tests used on Anthony’s trunk, air is run into a carbon compound filter, such as activated charcoal, which collects the evidence, said Arpad Vass, a research scientist at Oak Ridge. Air is then reversed through the filter, releasing the compounds.

In this case, they were looking for compounds released when a body decomposes.

“We essentially turn into the dust from which we come,” Vass said. “We return to the compounds which break down and blow off into the air.”

Along with the first degree murder charges Casey Anthony is charged ; aggravated abuse of a child, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators.

In addition, this case may have started off on a bad note, inadvertently, during the proceedings, a microphone was left open and was broadcasting a feed to TV trucks outside the courthouse.  Court Judge Belvin Perry warned that if this information was to be relayed, they would be charged with contempt of court. Some experts say that the defense attorneys could use the audio leak to contest the indictment.

Sure yet another obstacle that would be !!

Casey Anthony’s Defense Team SLIPS UP On National TV!!!

In Orlando Eyewitness News happened to be the only news station to apparently catch a major slip up by the Defense Team on NATIONAL TELEVISION! The spokesperson for Casey;s attorney admitted on TV that “Casey Anthony is dead” ( We in our heart of heart know this but to actually hear it from the defense team I think is a legal faux pas)

The spokesperson, made an appearance on CNN Wednesday night ( I missed this one) and was grilled about the case.

Todd Black the spokesperson for Casey’s attorney Jose Baez made an appearance on CNN Wednesday night and was grilled about the case.  The question that was posed to Mr. Black was, When he was asked , Why Casey was captured in several pictures partying while her daughter was missing. This is what he said…….

Todd Black paused for a second and became flustered after he said, “This is a serious case involving not just the loss of a little girl, but the loss of whatever is going to happen to Casey Anthony.”In late august, Eyewitness News was the first station to uncover new DNA evidence that showed the toddler was no longer alive.Her mother Casey Anthony, is now charged with her murder and she’s sitting in jail with no bond.

Also – there has been some gossip about Casey representing herself. When Jose Baez was asked by the judge whether or not he would file a “notice of appearance” ; which in layman’s terms means; will he represent Casey  he said he would.

George Anthony spoke with Eyewitness News and made this statement, “No, she’s gonna assist her attorney and or attorneys, or people that are there to help her in any way she can and she’s done that.”

He went on to say that Casey she would not represent herself.

Her trial is still scheduled for November 17. No one has asked for any delay.

So Casey is sitting in in her small 8×10 cell;there she will stay until her trial, on November 17th;  her family is allowed to visit her but limited to 3 video visitations per week.She cannot request a visit, a member of her family has to do so; she will have the option to accept or turn them away.

This is one of Orlando’s highest profile cases and the trial may not be held in Central Florida because of the media frenzy surrounding this case. Scheaffer, a former prosecuter said “I believe it’ll be a rural community, not Orlando or Jacksonville or Miami, probably somewhere more toward the panhandle.”

Good Luck with that!!! Unless you have been living under a rock – how could you not know about this case??

Where is the beautiful three year old Caylee Anthony??

This was the opening statement on “The Nancy Grace Show” tonight.Yesterday Casey Anthony entered the courtroom in what appeared to be a  “paralegal” style outfit complete with glasses, not the ones she stole and was indicted. She apparently is getting a makeover; in preparation for her trial.

Casey Anthony faced a judge this morning and in a little under 90 seconds, she was read the charges by the judge. It was basically cut and dry. Casey did not make any plea and immediately went back to her cell.

Her jail cell is an 8×10  box with a plexi glass front,  surrounded by 3 concrete walls. She is currently in protective custody; and remains in her cell 23 hours a day and only one hour of free time; where she can shower or go to the commissary.

Susan Moss; a child advocate in New York stated; Between hair and air (samples) this woman will get the chair!!!” and went on to say that the evidence in the trunk mainly the hair, shows “bands of decomposition, REAL evidence that there was a death in that car.

Jose Baez; her defense attorney failed to file a a motion for a speedy trial. Unfortunately this may give the state more time to search for more evidence. No one apparently has heard him “orally ” state that in court his morning. It was stated that Baez;  is perhaps looking to make a deal; maybe that’s why he did not file a motion.

He is most likely waiting to see if this is going to be a death penalty case or not. Another question posed was “Is Baez capable of handling this case to begin with. The question is can Baez handle this case at all?? He  may not be the right one for the job and not be qualified enough to try this case in the state of Florida because of the fact that he only has about three years of trial experience. In some jurisdictions, the court may not allow this; certain jurisdictions require the lawyer to have “quite a bit” of courtroom experience.One of the cases he did try IE: he defended a man that was eventually convicted and sent to jail.

In an interview today, George Anthony stated that he believes his granddaughter is still alive he goes on to say that he does not believe that his testimony affected the Grand Jury’s decision and that this was inevitable. George stated that “we are still receiving tips and following up on them;” George then said “They are being watched.”

The Anthony’s continue to get tips from outsiders; Cindy went on Univision Television  to look for Caylee in Puerto Rico where she claims she got a tip of a Caylee sighting. Cindy said that she will investigate all of the Caylee tips!!

Cindy says “This girl ( Casey) loves her child and she knows that Caylee is alive and people will understand why her behavior is as such; when it goes to trial. “People have not heard the evidence that we have”  and she insists that “she is alive somewhere there have been sightings in PR, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.”

The question now is:
Will Casey Anthony get the Death Penalty,  Rifka on Nancy Grace stated that the likelihood is extremely high  especially because of all the media attention.The people of the state of Florida are outraged by all of this, and the fact that she waited 31 days before reporting her daughter missing.

Jeff Hopkins was also interviewed on Nancy Grace in reference to “Zenaida Gonzalez”. Casey stated that  a “Jeff Hopkins ” introduced Zenaida to Casey; and that he used her as a baby sitter. Jeff stated that he does not know a “Zenaida Gonzalez” and he has NO children.

When this all went down back in July when Cindy made that infamous 911 call, Lee Anthony called Jeff after the police arrived at the Anthony home.  Jeff said that its another JEFF and not me. Police then went to his home to interview him.

Jeff Hopkins went on to say that he does know Casey, from elementary and grammar school and that he never worked with her at Universal Studios. “I spoke with Casey for the last time in July” he said. Hopkins is set to testify when the trial begins.

Leonard Padilla (the bounty hunter) – said that there is new “blockbuster evidence” about a plastic bag; CSI retrieved from the trunk of Casey’s car. The new evidence; is what appears to be  body fluids on the outside the bag with pizza on the inside. Maggots were also found on the outside of this bag.
