Considering that the Anthony family has never given a consistent answer to the question of Caylee’s paternity, there is little wonder why some very disturbing theories have emerged about the topic.
In one of her early interviews with Orange County investigators, Casey’s mother Cindy Anthony said that a man named Eric Baker fathered Caylee, but that Baker eventually married another woman and started a family with his wife. He did not want his name on Caylee’s birth certificate. According to Cindy, Baker died sometime after Caylee was born, but his widow and Casey made contact on the internet and were quite friendly with each other.
Casey is said to have told friends that the father died in a car crash on the way to Caylee’s second birthday.
Another story was introduced to the media by Casey’s brother Lee Anthony, who stated that the biological father and his family did not even know that Caylee existed.
Members of the Anthony family, by not answering the question of paternity in any way that seems honest, and by presenting different versions of the paternity story, have opened themselves up to a lot of speculation. Could the father be California Marine “Hawkins”? Could it be Orlando’s Jesus Ortiz, the kid killed in a car wreck last year? Maybe someone named Brandon? Or Brad? These questions are posted across the blogosphere.
But today, new information emerged that Lee Anthony refused to voluntarily submit to a DNA test earlier this week. Only after investigators presented him a search warrant did he comply. Had this family been honest about paternity from the beginning, the public would not have been so preoccupied with getting to the bottom of Caylee’s paternity. But the family’s hemming and hawing only leaves people to ponder… what exactly are the Anthony’s trying to hide about Caylee’s biological father? And why?
WFTV REPORTS: CASEY ANTHONY’S BROTHER REFUSES TO VOLUNTARILY PROVIDE DNA
George and Cindy Anthony voluntarily gave up DNA samples this week so investigators could scientifically exclude either of them as the source of the hair and stain in Casey’s trunk, but investigators had to get a search warrant to get Casey’s brother Lee to submit to a DNA test. He also has refused to take a lie detector test for the FBI. http://www.wftv.com/news/17680298/detail.html

For month I’ve been wondering about a comment I heard on the Nancy Grace show:
Only Anthony DNA was found on the hair in trunk.
The hair had a “deathband”
Meaning: The hair come off a “living” Anthony and the father of Caylee has the same DNA as the rest of the family.
An “outside” father would have left his DNA imprint on the hair.
And it would not match the Anthony DNA.
Meaning: Brother Lee is the father, his DNA is identical to his sisters and Caylee’s.
Look at the name chosen for the child: Caylee. (Casey/Lee abreviation?)
Susam Smith was spared the death penalty because she claimed to have been abused by a relative.
We might hear a similar defense in this case.
Where is Caylee?
Not anywhere where she can be found.
There are alligators in the lagoon around the airport.
I think no trace will ever be found.
Yes Alligators poor sweet Caylee wish it had eating Casey alive feet firsth
I have thought since the beginning of this tragedy that Lee Anthony must be the father of Caylee. The name obviously is composed of the two names, Casey and Lee…and the secrecy surrounding the father leaves no doubt in my mind.
I agree. I believe the reason Casey killed Caylee is because she was the result of incest or rape by the brother. The name Caylee is a hybrid of the brother and sister who are the parents of the dead daughter. Sad, sick…but probably true. I think the parents were not told by the brother and sister that this is what happened until AFTER the murder. By then it was too late and now they are in denial. The brother, Lee, should be picked up as an accomplice because I believe he and Casey killed Caylee together as part of an agreement to ‘erase’ the product of their incest.
I think her brother is the dad. She wanted to get rid of the baby and they wouldnt let her. And if the DNA come back with only the Anthony bloodline. It has to be his. Or where is the dads DNA. They need to reinstate the death penalty, and not even have her a trial and waste taxpayer money.
I was thinking the samething about LEE Anthoney. It is strange the child was name Cay/LEE i found that to be very strange.
Also why did Lee removed all the flowers and teddy bears that was left for a child that was killed. It could be anyone and to do that I found that odd. People did not put that to be dis-respectful, they just wanted to show their grief over a child that was possibbly murdered, and to find peace for her. How cruel that he did that. As far as I concerned that was very low of him to do that. What is he hidding?
Now she (Caylee) is with God. May she rest in peace.

Kasey Anthony tells the fathers name through the name of her daughter ‘ Cay-Lee’. The daughter was a product of sister (KAY-sey) and brother (Lee)
And that is why brother Lee does not want to do a DNA test.
I agree with you ed on the lee thing..but the remains have been found, and all this will be cleared up shortly when forensics come back. I’ll bet my last dollar another arrest is coming down the pipe.
Have DNA tests been performed on the alleged parents and siblings of the young man who died, the supposed father of Caylee? It’s much easier to prove who isn’t the father, rather than who is. And regardless, even if Lee Anthony or George Anthony is the real biological father, and evidence of incest surfaces, the fact still remains that the baby is gone, somehow-someway at the hands of her mother. I just wonder what this immunity thing is all about with the Anthonys. Maybe this is what it’s all going to come down to. Really messed up situation!
You need to research DNA. From hair, the Dna was analized of the possible people who had access to the car. If there was any other DNA in the trunk and hair then someone else might have done it. There was no other DNA from the hair other that LEE ,CASEY< CINDY< GEORGE< and of course CAYLee. As it turned out, it belonged to Caylee. If the body had not been found, then by process of ruling out the family members that were alive, the only family member with the hair with the death band on it, could only have been little Caylee. This test did not prove paternity or disprove paternity.
